{cool collaboration} more courtneycourtney …

I’ve said it before, but I’ll keep on sayin’ it –  I love sending Courtney extra klt:works prints for  courtneycourtney! Her designs are so vibrant & fun, you can’t help but smile when you see them, particularly when you see her adorable customers wearing her creations (like sweet Pip above)! I was lucky enough to be a customer this year too! Courtney made Sayer a birthday tee  with his favorite klt:owl tee that he had outgrown.

So, I’m happy to announce that tomorrow is klt:works Tuesday at courtneycourtney! She has been busy working on 10 new dresses with klt:works prints that will be on sale tomorrow. Let’s take a closer look at a few of my favorites…

… But really they are all fantastic!
If you see something that is perfect for the little girl in your life, make sure you sign up for Courtney’s newsletter here for your chance to snatch one up – her dresses always sell really fast!

Thanks for making my drawings sing Courtney!

{Shop Update} sweaters = slugs…

The fact that I’m posting about sweaters & slugs a day after posting about the sun & sprinklers is really just an example of a week in the Northwest. It’s been raining for the last two days – after a gorgeous weekend. The slugs are feasting on everything that we planted in our garden & the snails have been greeting us daily underfoot. However, because we have been inside a lot this summer, we’ve been on a cleaning, purging, & reorganizing kick- which brings me to my sweater drawer. I find that I hold on to a lot of sweaters more because I like the color, texture, or pattern more than that they really fit me well. So, to soften the blow of having to get  rid of them- in between working on orders, I decided to make some cozy slugs  that won’t munch on our tomatoes & basil…

It really is a fun way to pass on some of my favorite sweaters. The bodies are even softer than when I use polar tec fleece. Besides, I have a blast coming up with combinations & personalities. I hope you enjoy my sweaters as much as I did…

{Fabric Friday} CourtneyCourtney…

Courtney Chu is a magician with repurposed or “upcycled” textiles. She creates unique, “visually striking”, & comfy pieces of art to wear. This lady knows her stuff when it comes to designing these cool clothes. Her background includes an Industrial Design major from Carnegie Mellon University & she has a full time job as a product designer for a children’s rainwear & accessory company. She masterfully creates clothes that show her enthusiasm for  design, sewing, upcycling, & textiles.

I recently sent Courtney a few of my “oops” prints for her to incorporate into her designs & I LOVE what she came up with. I really want this first dress in my size!
(“oops” prints: are prints that have irregularities in either the fabric they are printed on or in the screenprinting.)
